People of every discipline come together to create the teams involved in Flood Risk Management. Use this section of the site to find out more about the different roles you could take up in this work of national importance.

While some jobs have minimum specific educational requirements, many could be undertaken successfully by people with a range of different skills, experiences, aptitudes and/or qualifications. If you have experience in flood defence or a water-related field, so much the better. As long as you share our enthusiasm and passion for the environment we'll try to accommodate your skills wherever possible.

In addition to these roles, we also run an annual Flood Risk Engineering Graduate Programme and offer Sponsorship Opportunities.

As a graduate you'll enjoy exposure to the diverse challenges that Flood Risk Management presents. As you consider your future as an engineer it's worth remembering that we carry out some of the largest, most complex, and not to mention unique projects the civil engineering world has to offer. And while you're working on these exciting Flood Risk Management projects you're also helping to protect millions of businesses and homes.

If you apply for sponsorship you'll spend ten weeks over the summer of 2008 working with our team of world-class engineers, and if you impress them you may enjoy financial support for your final year at university.
